| The customer is a NYC based preschool with multiple locations and unique concepts for children. They operate through different revenue centers and their main business is to sell their products by semesters. Their products generally are classes sold in different schedules. |

| Vision for the desired solution |
The proposed solution has to be a web-enabled solution with good transaction management. The solution should be capable of integrating extensively with web services for integration with other software product. It has to offer a good e-commerce application with good back-end operations and front-end management for users. The solution should be able to import the legacy data into the new database.
The system has to offer for defining the locations/revenue centers, products semesters, classes and schedules (products) in the back-end with update facilities. System also has to offer as back-end service ability to set-up the prices and discounts for their products by location and semester. Back-end should also be capable to set-up taxes per location.
Front-end has to offer the following capabilities for any given location:
- check for availability of products/class schedule slots
- book the order in typical shopping cart mode of e-commerce
- ability to pay by credit card online/take the details of check number
- manage cancellation of an order
- manage swapping of an order with another order
Membership data, teachers data, instructors data, order swapping, reporting and customer relationship management are the central functions that happen across the locations/revenue centers. There has to be good automated email communication to the members for identified business transaction events.
